Life Groups
We at First Church believe that God is calling us to be a community
of believers. A community in which we are striving to live a life worthy
of the calling we have received (Eph 4:1). One critical way in which we
can do this is by participating together in our small group ministry.
We need one another. God never intended for our faith to be lived in
isolation. Rather He places us together as a body of believers to do
"life" together, to care for one another, to love one another, to
encourage one another and at times to challenge one another. That is
what our Life Groups are all about.
First Church’s Life Groups are designed with five goals in mind:
sanctification, mutual care, using of our gifts, evangelism, and the
development of future leaders. They are led by men and women who are
committed to the understanding that God calls us not to merely listen to
his Word but rather to do what it says (James 1:22). We do this by
meeting together on a regular basis (2- 4 times a month) in small
numbers (less than 12) with a commitment to the five goals listed above.
